Our beneficiary, The Longhorn Project at The Johnson Space Center: For almost a century, The Longhorn Project, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, located on a 53-acre tract on the premises of NASA’s Johnson Space Center, has blended an award-winning registered Texas longhorn herd with a STEM educational program, a show team made of selected FFA students that exhibit longhorns at livestock and longhorn shows throughout Texas, and an environmental program for local high school students. Since 2004, over 80,000 3rd - 12th grade students have participated in the educational program. Imagine how student dreams are fueled thanks to their first-hand introduction to agriculture, livestock, and space exploration.
