DESCRIPTION:Walk for the Woods is a family and corporate team friendly\nevent sponsored by IberiaBank. It is approximately a 5K walk\nthrough the east end of downtown featuring the Buffalo Bayou\nand the developing East End. Many stops will be made along the\nroute\, highlighting the unique history of the community.\nAll proceeds from the walk will be used to support low-income high school youths’ participation in year-round wilderness\nimmersion programming. The Woods Project seeks to develop leadership capacity and life skills in low income\nyouth to help prepare them for college and beyond\, through a series of outdoor programs.
