DESCRIPTION:Please attend to provide your input on two proposed roadway underpasses under railroad crossings on the east side of downtown Houston. \n\n\n\nCommerce Street/Navigation Boulevard\n\n\n	Reconstruct existing Navigation underpass\n	Construct new Commerce underpass to intersect with Navigation underpass\n	Construct new bicycle lanes and sidewalks\n	Close railroad crossing at Hutchins\n\nYork Street\n\n\n	Construct new underpass on York below three sets of railroad tracks\n	Convert York and Sampson to two-way street within project area\n	Construct new bicycle lanes and sidewalks\n	Close railroad crossing at Sampson between Rusk and McKinney\n	Close railroad crossing at mcKinney between York and Milby\n	Close railroad crossing at Milby between Woodleigh and Polk\n\nThe purpose of these projects is to enhance safety\, mobility\, air quality and emergency response time by climinating at-grade railroad crossings. Completion of the projects will allow for a railroad quite zone from Runnels Street to Leeeland Street. Railroad crosings will nto be closed until underpasses are open to traffic. Both projects will require limited additional right-of-way.
