SUMMARY:Call for Artists: 2nd Ward Complete Communities (Creative Activator)
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Mayor's Visit My Neighborhood Complete Communities (Creative Activator) and the Houston Arts Alliance\, we will expand arts and culture through our 2018 Cube Art Design Contest. Street Cubes will be designed & painted by local artists and installed in our 2nd Ward Community. \n\n\n\nCubes will have four\, 6 x 6 sides. Artists are encouraged to submit their design for all four sides depicting one of the below:\n\n Depiction of the influence of Tejano Music and its influence throughout the East End.\n Depiction of the influence of the Houston Ship Channel\, including Old Harrisburg\, Port Houston and Buffalo Bayou and its influence in the East End. \n\n\nArtist will receive a $2\,000 grant for production and use of the artwork. This is including\, but not limited to\, design proposals\, artist fees\, design\, and production of original art for four\, 6 x 6 sides of a cube.\n\n\n\nAll entries must be delivered or submitted to frances@eecoc.org with 2nd Ward Complete Communities Cube Design Contest Submission as the subject line. Included in your delivery or body of the email must include the contestant's full name\, address\, telephone number.
